Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd has an exciting opportunity in Manufacturing Department. We are looking for a talented individual with the relevant skills and experience in Manufacturing for a Maintenace Manager position, which will be based in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will report directly to the Manufacturing Director.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Asset Care
- Lead and drive the plant and facility asset care plan, ensuring technical competencies and training needs are addressed.
- Maintain compliance with Engineering Change Management Procedure and audit requirements.
Plant Reliability
- Ensure the reliability and uptime of the Packaging plant through effective maintenance and support.
- Implement predictive maintenance techniques and verify the quality of routine and planned maintenance.
- Analyze plant failure modes and investigate causes for repeat failures to correct root causes and prevent recurrence.
Breakdown Response
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and equipment failures, ensuring quick resolution to minimize plant downtime.
- Conduct thorough analysis of breakdowns to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence of issue
Plant Optimization
- Evaluate continuous improvement opportunities and recommend changes to optimize plant operation.
- Develop and implement corrective actions for plant failures, and work to improve processes and equipment to minimize downtime and enhance overall performance.
Team Leadership and Management
- Lead and develop the Maintenance and Support (MAS) team, fostering a culture of ownership, empowerment, and high performance.
- Conduct regular goal review sessions, performance reviews, and training plans to ensure team competency and multi-skilling.
Safety and Housekeeping
- Ensure adherence to safety and housekeeping procedures, complying with CCBA and legislative policies.
- Conduct regular safety checks, audits, and meetings to maintain a focus on health and safety.
Budget Management
- Exercise budgetary controls over asset care requirements and support the development of the maintenance budget.
- Develop and control maintenance cost plans and CAPEX to ensure financial efficiency.
Maintenance Planning and Execution
- Ensure compliance with maintenance planning and execution, updating maintenance packages and managing special tools.
- Coordinate MAS availability for maintenance days and ensure timely availability of spares and resources.
Education and Skills
- BSc. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Leadership ability to effectively lead the asset care plan and develop the Maintenance and Support Machine Specialist team.
- Technical Expertise to maintain compliance with Engineering Change Management and effectively handle predictive maintenance and plant reliability.
- Problem-Solving Skills to respond quickly to breakdowns, conduct thorough analyses, and implement corrective actions.
- Analytical Skills to evaluate continuous improvement opportunities and optimize plant operations through data-driven recommendations.
- Financial Acumen by using manage budgetary controls, develop cost plans, and ensure financial efficiency in maintenance activities.
- Engineering qualification
- 8 years maintenance experience
- Broad based engineering and packaging knowledge
- Deep understanding of Packaging Operations, processes, and systems.
- 4 years line management experience
