Role overview
ACK3 is seeking a Risk Analyst to be based in Johannesburg, South Africa. This role is crucial for delivering in-depth analysis of the socio-political, economic, and security landscape in South Africa and the broader Southern African region.
Key responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive analysis of the geopolitical, economic, and security dynamics within South Africa and its impact on the Southern African region.
• Develop and deliver detailed risk assessment reports, providing strategic insights and actionable intelligence.
• Monitor ongoing developments in South Africa, ensuring timely and accurate communication of critical insights to support client needs and decision-making.
• Collaborate with ACK3’s global team of analysts to integrate South African risk assessments into broader strategic intelligence offerings.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Relations, Security Studies, Political Science, or a related field, with a focus on South Africa/Southern Africa.
• Proven experience in risk analysis or intelligence, with specific expertise in the South African context.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional local languages (e.g., Afrikaans, Zulu) being an advantage.
