Position: Hydrologeologist

Duties of Hydrologeologist

  • Conduct and manage underground water research to assess the quantity and quality of groundwater resources.
  • Carry out hydrogeological studies focused on the safety and stability of dams.
  • Supervise the plants and equipment of companies involved in underground water research, ensuring compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Collect, analyze, and process hydrogeological data to support the development of the water sector.
  • Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on underground water research equipment to ensure its functionality.
  • Provide coordination and supervision of groundwater research projects, offering guidance and advice to experts and other stakeholders in the water sector.
  • Oversee the drilling of wells, ensuring proper procedures and verifying completion details.
  • Design well construction plans, including development and maintenance strategies for wells.
  • Undertake any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education Background for Hydrogeologist

Duties for Hydrologist

  • Inspect and monitor the construction and operation of weather stations and related facilities.
  • Analyze the volume of water in rivers, ponds, and lakes to assess water availability.
  • Conduct validation activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data during processing.
  • Create plans and diagrams for hydrological and meteorological observation networks.
  • Plan, design, and manage construction activities for observation centers and network facilities.
  • Supervise hydrological investigations, particularly the relationship between water depth and flow (stage-discharge observations).
  • Use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to create maps of water catchments and basins.
  • Prepare flood impact maps for affected areas and provide advisory support on flood prevention measures.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of all hydrological and meteorological data collected.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Education Background for Hydrologist
