VETA is hiring a tour guide to lead educational excursions, share insights about vocational training, and enhance visitor experiences.

POSITION: Vocational Teacher (Tour Guiding)

DEADLINE: 30/10/2024

Duties

  • Develop instructional plans and training schemes.
  • Prepare the necessary tools and equipment for presentations or demonstrations.
  • Deliver effective training to trainees at levels one (I) to three (3) through lectures, demonstrations, discussions, and practical activities aimed at imparting knowledge, skills, and attitudes to ensure trainees acquire the required competencies.
  • Conduct formative and summative assessments using various tools, such as oral and written tests, product assessments, and log book records, to evaluate trainees’ competence levels.
  • Contribute to curriculum development by suggesting improvements, making recommendations, and attending workshops and seminars to ensure the training aligns with economic growth needs.
  • Prepare and compile daily, weekly, monthly, terminal, and annual reports based on trainee assessment forms to track and evaluate the progress of the training program.
  • Monitor trainee discipline by enforcing the rules and regulations outlined in their joining instructions to maintain order and peace at the training center.
  • Ensure the proper use and maintenance of training tools and equipment through daily preventive and corrective measures, including cleaning, lubricating, fault-checking, and minor repairs to prolong their lifespan.
  • Provide counseling and guidance to trainees through one-on-one discussions to offer direction and support for their personal and professional growth.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, or annual financial progress reports by consolidating station records for review by the superior.

Education Background

  • Applicants must hold a diploma in tourism management or tour guiding.
  • Additionally, the applicant must possess a Vocational Teachers Training Certificate or be willing to pursue it through VETA immediately upon employment.
